William Morris, an artist who valued simplicity, craftsmanship and sustainable home decor, was heavily inspired by flora and fauna became the single most famous and influential designer of the Arts & Crafts Movement.  Under his direction, Morris & Co., a British Heritage brand which was founded in 1861 grew into a flourishing and fashionable firm renowned for its wallpapers and textiles and the company’s designs have never been more widely appreciated than they are right now. 

Owned by UK based international luxury interior furnishings group, Walker Greenbank PLC, Morris & Co. is a global lifestyle brand offering authentic versions of William Morris’ designs along with new interpretations.

Together with Selamat Designs, a selection of Morris + Co.’s internationally recognized designs have been reinterpreted as furniture, lighting and accessories in this new collection by Selamat, beginning a new chapter in the ongoing history of the Morris + Co. design library.

Perhaps the greatest element about this piece, is its use of brass for all the metal work, so it won’t corrode like other metals and instead will develop a beautiful patina.
