The Atlas DWR Coffee table by Brad Ascalon is made of solid North American black walnut with a travertine marble top. Released in 2012 and now discontinued. 
In creating this collection, Ascalon was inspired by Atlas, the Greek mythological character condemned for eternity to carry the heavens on his shoulders. Translating this into a physical object, Ascalon was intrigued by the challenge of making an elegant frame that could carry the weight of solid stone.
